Our message
We are thankful to be working in this wonderful community, and extremely grateful to the residents and businesses of Pomona for their outstanding and continued support.
The Pomona Police Officers' Association supports and participates in many community events.
In our effort to keep Pomona a great city to live and work in, we take pride in being among the best-trained and educated personnel in the entire police community. Seeing children, residents, businesspeople, and others living and working in a safe environment is only one of the many rewards we receive for our service.
The PPOA is actively concerned with promoting officer morale, addressing union issues, continued law enforcement education, and supporting the Pomona community in whatever way we can.
Pomona can be proud of our members who put the community before themselves on a daily basis!

The Pomona Police Officers' Association is made up of caring and professional individuals. This includes our co-workers, jailers, dispatchers and records personnel. We also interface with a caring community that includes citizen groups, the Pomona district attorney's office, Pomona Unified School District and business owners.
Occasionally in law enforcement, we come across an incident that is difficult to experience and comprehend. The senseless murder of 5-year-old Edgar Sanchez was such an incident.
Recently, the PPOA requested donations to assist the family with burial costs. Although all of us are facing tough economic times, the community of Pomona has stepped up to ensure this innocent child is buried with dignity and surrounded by family members.
This would not have been possible without the financial assistance and generosity of the community. Citizens who could not afford to donate money offered their time. The PPOA sincerely appreciates the community's support. We did not accomplish this goal on our own.
The community of Pomona made this happen. The Sanchez/Navarro family is truly grateful.

Pomona Police Retirements
Pomona Police Department,
Over the years, very important employees come and go without the recognition they deserve. Some people want parties, some want luncheons, and others want nothing. Some slide out the door requesting no recognition, however, they all deserve the thanks and gratitude of the Police Department employees and the community.
We want to take this time to make sure that all Pomona Police Department employees know some of the upcoming retirement dates of some employees that have contributed most of their lives to this department and the community. Take the time to thank them in their final days when you see them in the halls and keep them in your thoughts and prayers as they move into the next phase of life.
Thanks to all of you and good luck !!
