Current Term: 2010 to 2012

I have been a police officer for over 19 years, the last three with the Pomona Police Department. During my law enforcement career, I have been actively involved with the Los Angeles County Police Officers Association (LACPOA), the Los Angeles County Professional Peace Officers Association (PPOA), the Peace Officers Research Association of California (PORAC), and the Pomona Police Officers' Association (PPOA).

I was elected to represent the PPOA membership for a two-year term beginning in January 2010. I currently serve as Secretary and as a subcommittee member of the Political Action Committee. Some of my goals as Secretary are to:

• Encourage members to participate in the affairs of the PPOA
• Enhance the communication between the PPOA and the community
• Seek new opportunities to improve working conditions & service to the community
